Imre Leetma elected as the new chairman of the Estonian Concrete Association
The management board of the Estonian Concrete Association elected Imre Leetma, the Sales Director of AS Kunda Nordic Tsement, as the new chairman of the association. The former chairman, Tiit Roots, led the association for five years, 2016-2021.
“We have tried to increase the membership of the association by involving different people, industries and companies related to concrete,” said the previous chairman Tiit Roots. “Electing a new chairman keeps the management of the organization fresh and helps to carry out new ideas,” Roots added.
Imre Leetma has been active in the association for many years, being a member of the management board since 2010.
Imre Leetma: „The Estonian Concrete Association has become a well-visible, functioning organization, whose membership has been growing constantly. We definitely want to continue the established system of professional training, that has produced good outcomes in the form of well-recognized professional publications. Over the years, the areas of activity of the association have expanded, enabling more and more employees of the member companies to be involved in various working groups and initiatives. Introducing the advantages of concrete as the most important modern domestic building material has no limits!”
Imre Leetma was born 21.11.1962. He has graduated the Tallinn Polytechnic Institute (TalTech) in 1986 as construction engineer and the Estonian Business School in 1994 (MBA studies).
Imre Leetma has worked as a foreman, department manager, and project manager in various repair and construction companies (1986-1994), as the retail sales engineer at Shell Estonia (1994-96), the technical manager at Shell Baltics (1996-97), the purchase engineer at Shell CEE (in Budabest 1997-99), the development engineer of the Engineering Centre of Oil Products at Shell Europe (1999-2000), the development manager of the retail sales market of Baltics and St. Petersburg at Shell (2000-03), the chairman of the supervisory board at Shell Eesti AS (2000-03), the development manager at Kunda Nordic Tsement (2004-06), the cement sales director of the Baltics at HeidelbergCement Northern Europe (2012-20), the sales director at Kunda Nordic Tsement (since 2006).
In his free time he enjoys sports (basketball, cycling, Alpine skiing) and travelling.
The Estonian Concrete Association (founded in 2004) is an organization promoting the use of concrete as a domestic building material and includes 77 companies, organizations and individuals.
